MyWriters and Authors strives to connect writers to readers and resources. This means that everyone involved in publishing, from readers to publishers, are welcome members of our community. To build a successful network, use the following steps:

- More members mean more opportunities for you
#3 Leave comments on as many profiles as possible
- Leave a personalized welcome for all new members daily
- Introduce yourself and your work to 20+ people per day
- Offer to help with their interests
- Include a link to your profile page
#4 Thank members for commenting on your work
- No one likes for their efforts to be unappreciated
- It will create additional traffic to your profile
#5 Post your original work under the appropriate tabs

- Pub & Crit offers opportunities to make shorter works easy for readers to find and critique
#6 Reply to all forum discussions
- Consider what is being communicated
- Respond appropriately

- Create separate text boxes for personal information and professional information
- Follow the personal profile with your professional profile

- List tags in your profile to help members find you

- Tell about your achievements that are related to your specialty
- Mention endorsements from respected people/organizations

- Show how your work relates to publishing
- Indicate who your audience is

- Participate in, or start, contests

- Earn a position as a Top 20 member

- Start or join about 5 groups related to your interests
· Participate in the groups you join
· Create a group with a name that indicates its purpose
· Add an RSS feed to the group
- If you have a network or critique forum for writers
· Create a professional profile for it
· Contact the site administrator
· Get added as a co-operating network
